Make a cleaning solution like this
Now fill the mug with water and add one spoon of liquid detergent in it. Along with this, also add two spoons of glycerine in it. This will clean the silk saree better.
The color is not fading
First of all, dip one corner of the saree in this solution. You should wash the saree at home only if its color is not falling. But if the color is coming off then get it cleaned by dry cleaner only.
Use bucket
Now pour this solution into a bucket and add lukewarm water to it. Keep in mind that this cleaning solution should not be mixed in excess quantity in the bucket.
Put the saree in the solution
Now carefully dip your silk saree in this lukewarm water and solution. Keep in mind that do not be too rough with the saree and do not rub it.
Wash with cold water
Now dip this saree in cold water and wash it thoroughly. Keep washing by changing the water until all the detergent is completely removed.
Use a towel to dry
Now do not squeeze the saree to remove water, instead wrap the saree in a towel. You can extract water from it by pressing it lightly.
Lay out and dry
When the water drains out properly and it dries, do not hang it, but spread it on the surface to dry. Keep in mind not to keep it in the sun.
Iron on low heat
If you are thinking of ironing the saree yourself, then iron it carefully at a very low temperature.
