As the summer season approaches, the trend of colorful clothes and silk sarees increases. But do you know that if these beautiful sarees are not stored properly then there is a fear of insects getting into them.
Silk sarees have to be taken care of a little differently from other sarees. In such a situation, today we are telling you some such measures with the help of which you can maintain the shine of your silk saree for years.
Ways to protect silk sarees from insects-
Naphthalene balls
Place naphthalene tablets in between silk sarees. Keep in mind not to place them directly on the saree, as this may cause the colors to fade. Always use these pills wrapped in a cloth.
Kapoor
Camphor used in puja is also helpful in protecting silk sarees from insects. Its pungent aroma keeps insects away. You can also keep camphor powder tied in a cloth.
Neem leaves
Neem leaves, rich in anti-bacterial properties, not only protect silk sarees from insects but also remove bad smell from them. These leaves can be made into powder, filled in a bundle and kept in the middle of the saree.
Moisture protection
It is very important to protect silk sarees from moisture. Moisture can cause fungus to grow in clothes, which increases the risk of odor and insects. In such a situation, if the saree is kept in the cupboard for a long time, then dry it in the sun and keep it folded.
Turmeric
Turmeric also has insecticidal properties, which protect silk sarees from insects. For this, make a bundle of turmeric and keep it in between the sarees.
