Ovarian cancer is a silent killer which is detected only after the victim becomes its victim. It is noteworthy that in most cases, ovarian cancer is detected in the last stage, by which time it has completely spread to the surrounding organs as well. In such a situation, it becomes difficult to treat cancer and it puts the woman at risk.

In such a situation, awareness among women is very important so that women can know and recognize the symptoms of this deadly disease in the initial stages. This article of ours is a small effort in this direction, in which we are talking about the initial symptoms of ovarian cancer. Through these symptoms, women themselves can sense the risk of ovarian cancer.

Let us tell you that we talked to Dr. SagarGaikwad, a gynaecologist at Shatabdi Hospital, Maharashtra about this and we are sharing the information received from him here with you.

DrSagarGaikwad explains that it is very difficult to understand the risk of ovarian cancer in the initial stages because most of its initial symptoms are reflected in other diseases. However, some specific symptoms and physical problems indicate ovarian cancer. If these symptoms and physical problems are identified at the right time, then it is possible to get relief from ovarian cancer after getting proper treatment.

Let us now know about those symptoms which become visible in the initial stages of suffering from ovarian cancer.

Persistent pain in the stomach

Persistent abdominal pain is a main symptom of ovarian cancer which starts appearing in the early stages. But often it is ignored considering it to be a stomach-related problem. Therefore, if stomach pain persists for a long time despite not having any stomach or digestive problems, then do not take it lightly. For this, consult a gynaecologist immediately.

Prolonged swelling in the stomach

Prolonged swelling in the stomach can also be a sign of ovarian cancer. In such a situation, stomach swelling is often treated as a problem related to liver or digestion. In such a situation, the risk of ovarian cancer increases even more. Therefore, if a woman has the problem of swelling in the stomach and its surrounding areas, then she should get it checked.

Irregular periods

Regular periods are a sign of healthy ovaries. Therefore, if periods are not coming at the right time or are coming quickly, then it can be a symptom of ovarian cancer or some serious problem related to the ovaries. Therefore, do not make the mistake of ignoring the problems related to periods by considering them as common. For this, immediately contact a gynaecologist. Based on a physical examination, the doctor will be able to tell the real reason for the irregularity of periods.

Feeling tired and weak

DrSagarGaikwad explains that prolonged complaints of fatigue and weakness in women can also be a sign of suffering from ovarian cancer. Therefore, if you feel tired without doing much physical exertion, then you need to be serious about your problem.

Pain during physical relations

If a woman faces the problem of pain during physical relations, then she should contact a gynaecologist regarding this also. Experiencing pain during physical relations can also be a symptom of ovarian cancer. While women often ignore it considering it normal, this problem becomes serious in the future.

Loss of appetite

Sudden loss of appetite or difficulty in eating is also a symptom of ovarian cancer. Therefore, if any such problem arises, definitely contact a gynaecologist. Gynaecologists will be able to detect the condition of ovarian cancer based on physical examinations like blood tests, ultrasound and CT scans.
