Shardiya Navratri has great importance in the Hindu religion. Navratri comes once a year. There are 2 secret Navratri and 2 actual Navratri. Navratri falling in the month of Ashwin means waiting for Navratri, it is also called Sharadiya Navratri. According to the Panchang, Shardiya Navratri starts from Pratipada of Shukla Paksha of Ashwin month and continues till Navami. Then on the day of Dussehra, Durga idols are immersed. This year Shardiya Navratri will start from 15 October 2023 and continue till 24 October.

Shardiya Navratri 2023 Start Date

According to the Hindu calendar, the Pratipada Tithi of Ashwin Shukla Paksha will start on October 14 at 11.24 PM and end on October 16 at 12.32 AM. This year, on the Shardiya Navratri festival i.e. 15 October 2023, Sunday, there will be Chitra Nakshatra and Swati Nakshatra, which are considered best for auspicious works.

Sharadiya Navratri 2023 Ghatasthapana time

Abhijeet Muhurta is the most auspicious time for Sharadiya Navratri. Apart from this, Chitra Nakshatra is considered auspicious for Ghatasthapana. This year Chitra Nakshatra will be from 4.24 pm on 14th October to 6.13 pm on 15th October. So Abhijeet Muhurta will be from 11:04 am to 11:50 am on 15th October. It would be auspicious to make changes during this period.
