People wait for Shardiya Navratri throughout the year. In this Navratri, people worship Mata Rani by establishing her idol in their homes. In these nine days, nine different forms of the mother are worshiped. After the worship of Maa Shailputri on the first day and Maa Brahmacharini on the second day, the turn comes on the third day and on this day Maa Chandraghanta is worshiped.
To please this form of the mother, people not only worship by wearing clothes of their favorite color, but they also offer their favorite bhog to Mata Rani. It is said that Maa Chandraghanta is very fond of milk and milk dishes. In such a situation, if you want to please Maa Chandraghanta, the third form of Maa Durga, then offer her kesar peda. Here we are going to tell you how to make kesar peda with an easy method.
Ingredients for making Kesar Peda
Mawa (Khoya): 500 grams
Powdered sugar: 150-200 grams
Saffron: 10-12 strands
Milk: 2 tablespoons
Cardamom powder: 1/2 teaspoon
Pistachio and almond
Ghee: 1 tablespoon
Method
It is very easy to prepare Kesar Peda at home. To make it, first of all, you have to lighten 2 tablespoons of milk and soak the saffron strands in it. This will dissolve the color of saffron well in the milk.
Now you have to start preparing the peda. For this, put 1 tablespoon of ghee in a heavy bottom pan add mawa (khoya) to it, and fry it on medium flame. Keep in mind that you have to stir it continuously, otherwise it will start burning. When the mawa becomes light golden, add powdered sugar to it and mix well.
Now let this mixture cook on low flame, so that the sugar dissolves well. When the sugar dissolves, add saffron milk and cardamom powder to it and mix it well. Keep stirring it continuously till it thickens.
When it thickens, turn off the gas and take it off the gas. After this, let it cool down a bit so that pedas can be made easily by touching it. When its temperature cools down a bit, apply a little ghee on your hands and make small balls from the mixture and give them the shape of round pedas. If you want, you can also make designs on them with the help of a knife. Decorate these pedas with pistachio or almond pieces. Pedas are ready. Offer them to Mata Rani.
