Shardiya Navratri 2023: This year Shardiya Navratri is starting from 15th October. Just one day before its commencement, i.e. on October 14, a solar eclipse is also going to occur. The solar eclipse will start at 8:34 p.m. on October 14 and will end at 2:35 p.m. on October 15. In such a situation, Shardiya Navratri is starting under the shadow of the solar eclipse. While Navratri is considered very sacred in religious scriptures, the event of the eclipse is not considered auspicious. Because of this, there is a fear in the minds of many people that the solar eclipse will also affect the worship of Shardiya Navratri. So let us know what effect the last solar eclipse of the year will have on Navratri worship and what is the method of Ghatasthapana...

Effect of solar eclipse on Navratri worship
Actually, Shardiya Navratri is starting from 11:24 pm on Saturday, October 14, 2023. The solar eclipse may also have occurred at this time, but still, according to astrologers, a solar eclipse will not have any effect on Navratri worship, because Ghatasthapana has importance in Navratri and on this day Ghatasthapana will happen a few hours after the end of the solar eclipse.

Auspicious time for establishing Kalash
The auspicious time for Kalash Sthapana i.e. Ghatasthapana is on October 15 from 11:38 am to 12:23 pm. In such a situation, you have 45 minutes time to establish the Kalash during Shardiya Navratri.

Keep these things in mind during Ghatasthapana
The surrounding environment becomes polluted during a solar eclipse. Therefore, before Ghatasthapana you should keep some things in mind.

After the solar eclipse is over and before Ghatasthapana, sprinkle Ganga water in the entire house.

Then after bathing, sprinkle Ganga water on the Tulsi plant.

Apart from this, donate sesame and gram pulses on this day.

Only after this, perform Ghatasthapana on this day as per the rituals, because Shardiya Navratri is starting under the shadow of the solar eclipse.

Kalash installation method
On the first day of Shardiya Navratri, wake up in the morning, take a bath, etc., and wear clean clothes.
Then clean the temple and sprinkle Ganga water.

After this, spread a red cloth and place some rice on it. Sow barley in an earthen pot.

Also, install a pot filled with water on this vessel. Place mango or Ashoka leaves all around the Kalash and make Swastika.

Then add whole betel nut, coin and Akshat in it.

Wrap a chunri around a coconut and tie it with Kalava and while placing this coconut on top of the Kalash, invoke Maa Jagadambe.

Then light the lamp and worship the Kalash.
