Nine forms of Maa Durga are worshiped for nine days. Navratri comes four times a year. But, two Navratri are celebrated in secret. Whereas Chaitra and Shardiya Navratri are celebrated on a large scale. Navratri falls in the month of Ashwin is called Sharadiya Navratri. 1) Shailputri Devi: Favorite Color- White

Shailputri Devi is worshiped on the first day of Navratri. Shailputri Devi is also called the daughter of the mountains. Shail means mountain in Sanskrit. Shailputri rides a white bull named Nandi. He has a trident in one hand and a lotus in the other. Blessings of a healthy life are sought from Shailputri.

2) Goddess Brahmacharini: Favorite color- Red On

the second day of Navratri, Goddess Brahmacharini, the second form of Durgamata, is worshipped. Goddess Brahmacharini is known as the mother of devotion and penance. This form of Durgamata is the symbol of Goddess Parvati. He performed penance for many years to please Mahadev. He is wearing white clothes and has a Rudraksha rosary in his right hand and a Kamandalu in his left hand.

3) Goddess Chandraghata: Favorite color- Blue

Goddess Chandraghata is worshiped for the destruction of demons on the third day of Navratri. This goddess riding on a tiger has 10 arms. The goddess is blessing the devotees with one hand. So, his remaining 9 hands hold a trident, mace, bow, arrow, lotus, sword, bell, and water urn. Because of the crescent moon on their forehead, they are called Chandraghanta.

4) Goddess Kushmanda: Favorite color – Yellow Goddess

Kushmanda, the fourth form of Goddess Durga, is worshiped on the fourth day of Navratri. This goddess created the world with her divine and radiant smile. He rides on a lion and has eight arms. Malpua is the favorite food of the Goddess.

5) Goddess Skandamata: Favorite colour- Green

Panchami or the goddess of motherhood or children is known as Skandamata. This goddess is worshiped on the fifth day of Navratri. The goddess has four hands. Two of them have a lotus in their hands and the other two have a kamandalu and a bell. The goddess has taken Lord Kartikeya in her lap.

6) Goddess Katyayani: Favorite color- Gray On

the sixth day of Navratri, Goddess Katyayani, the sixth form of Durgamata, is worshipped. Goddess Katyayani has four hands on a lion. In which there is a lotus, trident, sword, and shield.

7) Kaalratri Devi: Favorite color- Orange.

Goddess Kalratri is worshiped on the seventh day of Navratri. Kaalratri is one of the most aggressive forms of Goddess Parvati. He sacrificed his skin color to kill the demons. Goddess Kalratri has four arms. He has a sword, trident, and noose in his hands. So she is seen blessing the devotees with her fourth hand.

8) Goddess Mahagauri: Favorite Colour- Morpis

Goddess Mahagauri On Ashtami or the eighth day of Navratri, Goddess Mahagauri rides on a bull or a white elephant. The goddess has four arms and holds a trident in one hand and a damru in the other. The third hand is empty and the fourth hand is blessing the devotees.

9) Siddhidatri: Favorite color- Pink

Siddhidatri is the ninth and final form of Durgamata. Goddess Siddhidatri is seated on a lotus. He has four hands. In which there is a mace, book, discus, and lotus.
