In an interview with GQIndia.com, when his fitness trainer Prashant Sawant was asked about Shahrukh's fitness, he said that his mentality regarding his fitness is like that of an athlete or a sportsman.

Prashant, who has been Shahrukh's fitness trainer for the last 20 years, said that while working out, he works out by focusing on two body parts at a time. He said that Shahrukh likes to strengthen his core muscles. For this, he works a lot on lifts and squats. Apart from this, he likes cycling and cardio workouts.

He said that when Shahrukh works out, he especially includes protein in his diet to build body mass. He had a shoulder injury problem last year, so during his fitness workout, special attention was being given to those parts that were weak and needed more strength.

According to TOI, Shahrukh includes skinless chicken, egg whites, lentils, and nonfat milk in his diet. It helps in building muscles by removing the deficiency of protein in the body.
