We can learn something from every character of Ramayana. Shabri's devotion and love for Lord Rama is also very amazing from which we can learn a lot.
Once Rishi Matang had informed Shabri that Lord Rama will definitely come to your hut one day. In this wait, Shabri used to decorate the hut daily and also bring berries for him.
During the exile, Lord Rama went to his hut with his brother Lakshman and wife Sita and Shabri was very happy to see them and started crying tears of joy.
Shabri had only berries to feed Lord Rama. She would first taste the berries herself and then if it was sweet, she would keep it for Lord Shri Ram. Lord Rama saw the devotion of his devotee and happily ate his chewed berries.
But Lakshman ji had difficulty in eating berries and he kept throwing all the berries. Lakshman Ji did not eat the leftover berries of Shabri but these berries saved Lakshman Ji's life
According to the mythological story, whenever Lakshman Ji threw those berries, the berries kept falling on the Drongiri mountain and from those berries Sanjivani herb grew.
When Lakshman fell unconscious during the war with Meghnath, his life was saved by this Sanjivani herb which Hanuman Ji had brought.
