The heat in the state has broken the record of the last 10 years. Five cities in the state recorded temperatures above 44 degrees on Friday. The meteorological department has forecast heat wave for the next two days. Along with this, Orange Alert has been forecast in Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Patan, Surendranagar, Morbi, Porbandar, Junagadh and Kutch.

In addition, Mehsana, Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Amreli and other areas are likely to have a yellow alert, meaning temperatures between 41 and 43 degrees. The highest temperature in the state was recorded in Kandla Airport area with a temperature of 45.2 degrees.

The heat wave in the city usually crosses 44 degrees in May, but this time the heat broke a record in April. According to the meteorological department, the temperature in Ahmedabad is likely to reach 45 degrees in the next two days.
