According to religious beliefs, raw milk and curd are offered to Lord Shiva in Sawan, so consuming raw milk and things made from it is prohibited in this month. On the other hand, the curd is used to make curd, so it is prohibited to consume curd or milk and things related to curd in the month of Sawan. Greens should not be consumed in Sawan because Lord Shiva has a lot of love for nature, in such a situation it is not considered auspicious to eat greens and leaves.

Hinduism is as much religious as it is scientific. Due to excessive rains in the month of Sawan, the grass starts growing in unwanted places and many types of insects live on them. In such a situation, cows and buffaloes start grazing on grass, which affects their milk. That's why milk, curd, or things made from it should not be consumed in this season. The reason for banning greens is also that there is more fear of insects in green leafy vegetables in the month of Sawan. Along with this, in the month of Sawan, the amount of bile-increasing substances in greens increases, which causes problems in digestion. This has a bad effect on health.

Even in Ayurveda, the consumption of things related to milk and curd like raita, curry, greens, etc. is considered prohibited during rainy days. It hurts health. There is a risk of gout due to the consumption of curd, because of the presence of acid in the curd, many types of problems remain. According to Ayurveda, the digestion process is slow in the month of Sawan, in such a situation there can be difficulty in the digestion of curd and curd.
