Hard water contains minerals and salts that tend to build up in our buckets. Because of these
stains, even a clean bucket starts getting dirty and then every time water is filled in it, the water
also starts getting dirty. In such a situation, if a guest comes, then you may have to feel
embarrassed in front of him.


Just to save you the embarrassment, we have come up with a few tricks that will come in handy
and make your dirty buckets and mugs look sparkling new.
1. Use Rubbing Alcohol
Rubbing alcohol can be used for household cleaning. It can also be used to remove hard or
saltwater stains. Immediately after applying alcohol to the bucket and mug add detergent to it

and rub it with a scrub. If the stain does not disappear, pour alcohol into the bucket, leave it for
some time, and then clean the bucket.
2. Use Bleach
If you can't find cleaning products, bleach is the best option. The use of bleach is effective in
killing germs and it also cleans the dirt. You can also remove stains from plastic using chlorine
bleach. For this, prepare a mixture by adding one tablespoon of bleach to one cup of water. Put
this mixture in the bucket and mug and keep it soaked for 1 hour. After this, rub it with a scrub
and wash it.
3. Using White Vinegar
White vinegar is also a great cleaning agent, and you can tackle many household chores with just
one product. Stains in buckets and mugs can also be easily cleaned with this. Fill 1 jug with half
hot water and half white vinegar and put it in a bucket and mug and leave it for 1 hour. Now put
detergent in it and rub it with a scrub.


4. Use of Baking Soda
Baking soda is also a powerful cleaning agent. Make a paste by mixing two tablespoons of
baking soda with water and apply it to the dirty mug and bucket and let it sit for 20-30 minutes.
After this, rub it with a scrub and clean it. Wash with water, dry and use.
5. Use of Salt
Do you know how useful is salt used in your food? 1 teaspoon of salt will help to brighten and
disinfect your home. To remove stains, make a paste of warm water and salt. If you want, you
can also add baking soda to it. Leave this paste on the stain and then rub it and wash it.
6. Hydrogen peroxide
Peroxide is another common household item and can be used to remove stains from pots and
containers and to lighten old plastic utensils. Like vinegar, it can be used mixed with baking soda
or you can spray it on. Clean the bucket and mug with the help of detergent.
