- Sabja seeds are low in calories, but they are rich in nutrients like calcium, magnesium, iron and phosphorus as well as other multivitamins, which provide all the necessary nutrition to the body.
- These seeds are rich in alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), which boosts fat-burning metabolism in the body.
- According to a study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, consuming linolenic acid daily can reduce body fat.
- Basil seeds are rich in fibre. By eating this, you do not feel hungry for a long time.
- Sabja seeds contain about 11 grams of protein, 5 grams of carbs and 2 grams of fibre. That's why they are best for weight loss.

- Sabja seeds - 1 or 2 teaspoons
- Hot water - 1 cup
Method to prepare-
- Soak one to two teaspoons of sabja seeds in a cup of warm water for about 15 minutes.
- Then drink it along with the seeds.
- The hot water causes the seeds to swell and release digestive enzymes.

With 42% carbs in every 100 grams, these seeds provide quick energy to the body. Carbs in these seeds promote metabolism and help in the functioning of the kidneys, heart and central nervous system. Difference between Sabja Seeds and Chia Seeds
Let us tell you that Sabja seeds are completely different from Chia seeds.
- Sabja seeds are slightly larger than chia seeds, but they contain almost the same nutrients.
- Chia seeds contain twice as many omega-3 fatty acids as vegetable seeds.
- Both the seeds swell and form a gel when soaked. But sabja seeds swell faster than chia seeds and are larger.
- Chia seeds can also be eaten dried, while sabja seeds cannot be eaten dried as they are difficult to chew.
