You must have heard about Mumbai's famous street food Vada Pav. Vada Pav tastes amazing and today we have brought you the recipe to make it at home.

Material:

Pav – 8

Garlic chutney – as required

Boiled potatoes – 5-6

chopped green chillies – 2 tsp

grated ginger – 2 tsp

curry leaves – 1 tbsp

mustard seeds – 1 tsp

turmeric – 1/2 tsp

roasted coriander – 1 tsp

chopped coriander leaves - 2 tbsp

salt as per taste

Ingredients for making batter

Gram flour – 3 cups

Turmeric – 1 teaspoon

Baking soda – 1 teaspoon

Oil for frying

A pinch of salt

Method:

- First of all, boil the potatoes, peel them, and mash them well.

- Heat 2 spoons of oil in a pan.

-When the oil is hot, add mustard seeds and then add green coriander, grated ginger, chopped green chilies, and curry leaves. Fry for a while.

-Then, add turmeric and mashed potatoes to the pan. Mix them well with the help of a spoon.

- After frying the mixture for some time, add salt and finely chopped coriander to it.

-Fry for 1-2 more minutes and then turn off the flame. Let the mixture cool.

-Take gram flour in a deep frying pan, add turmeric and a pinch of salt to it. Add water while stirring slowly to make a medium-thick batter.

- Now add baking soda to the batter and mix it well.

- Heat oil in a pan for frying.

-Meanwhile, take small portions of the potato mixture and shape them into small balls.

-Dip each ball in a gram flour batter and then put it in hot oil to fry.

-Fry the vadas until they turn golden brown.

-Take out the vadas from the oil.

Take one loaf and spread garlic chutney on it. Place hot vada inside it and serve with fried green chilies.
