Many people love eating out, especially when it comes to enjoying spicy and delicious dishes. Dal Makhani often tops the list when dining out. However, you can also make Dal Makhani at home and enjoy it.
Material:
Whole black gram dal (urad dal)
Rajma
Tomato puree
Onion
Garlic paste
Ginger paste
Cumin
Coriander powder
Red chilli powder
Kashmiri red chilli powder Garam
masala Black
pepper powder
Salt
2 tbsp Cream
Ghee
Oil Butter Fresh
Coriander
Instruction:
-First of all, soak whole black gram dal and kidney beans overnight.
-In a pressure cooker, add soaked lentils and kidney beans along with water, turmeric, salt, and 2 cups of water. Pressure cook until they are soft and cooked well.
- Heat oil in a separate pan and add finely chopped onion into it. Fry them until they turn golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste, tomato puree, salt, and red chili powder to the pan. Cook and stir until the oil starts separating from the tomato mixture.
-Add remaining spices including coriander powder, Kashmiri red chili powder, garam masala, and black pepper powder. Cook for a few more minutes and continue stirring.
-Add cooked lentils and kidney beans to the pan along with the tomato mixture. Mix well and cook on low flame.
-You can add a few tablespoons of cream to the dal. Stir it gently.
-Heat ghee in a separate tadka pan and add a pinch of red chili powder, finely chopped green chilies, and fresh coriander. Fry for a minute and then pour this tempering over the dal.
-Your homemade Dal Makhani is now ready to serve. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve with rice and roti.
