Ingredients:

  • 200 grams of paneer (cottage cheese)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped capsicum (bell pepper)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped tomatoes
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp cumin powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 6 slices of bread
  • Butter, as required
  • Grated cheese, as required

Instructions:

  1. Cut paneer into small cubes and keep aside.

  2. Heat oil in a pan, and add finely chopped onions, green chillies and sauté for a minute.

  3. Add the chopped capsicum and sauté for 2 minutes.

  4. Now add chopped tomatoes, red chilli powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well and let it cook for 5 minutes on low flame.

  5. Add paneer cubes to the pan and mix well. Cook for another 2 minutes.

  6. Preheat the oven to 180°C.

  7. Take bread slices and apply butter on one side. Then, spread the paneer mixture over the bread slice.

  8. Sprinkle grated cheese over the paneer mixture.

  9. Place the bread slices on a baking tray and bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes.

  10. Once the cheese is melted and bread is crispy, take out from the oven.

  11. Cut the toast into small pieces and serve hot with ketchup.
