Spinach Pasta is a delicious and nutritious fusion dish that combines the goodness of spinach with that of pasta. If children insist on eating pasta, then you can try spinach pasta which will also be nutritious.
Ingredients:
- 200g pasta of your choice (penne, fusilli, or spaghetti)
- 2 cups spinach leaves, washed and finely chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 4-5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp red chili flakes
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- salt to taste
- grated cheese for garnishing (optional)
Instructions :
- Cook pasta according to package directions. Sieve and keep aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan on medium heat. Add minced garlic and fry for a minute till fragrant.
- Add chopped onion and fry till it becomes transparent.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook till they become soft and mushy.
- Add chopped spinach leaves and cook for a few minutes till they turn mushy.
- Season with salt, red chili flakes, and dried oregano and mix well.
- Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss it with the spinach mixture until the pasta is well coated.
- Cook the pasta for a few more minutes, while stirring occasionally, to heat it through.
- Remove from heat and garnish with grated cheese.
- Serve Palak Pasta hot and enjoy!
