The central government runs many beneficial schemes for the citizens of the country. So along with this, the state government brings many beneficial schemes for the citizens of the state. Under these schemes, people are benefited in different ways. Especially the government brings these schemes for the poor and needy people. Under these schemes, a ration is given somewhere.

So somewhere free goods are given. Poor needy people need ration cards for free rations and other food items. People have to fulfill some eligibility to get a ration card. A ration card is not made for all people. According to the new rule of the government, some ration card holders will not get free ration from next month. What is the reason behind this? Let us tell you.

These people will not get free ration
The government has now asked all ration card holders to get e-KYC done. For this, the date was earlier fixed as 30 June. But now this date has been extended to 30 September. That is, if any ration card holder does not complete his e-KYC by 30 September, then the free ration provided by the government to those ration card holders will stop. The government has taken this step because the names of many such people are registered on the ration card.

Who is either married or has left that place? Or they have passed away. That is why the government is ensuring through e-KYC that only those people who are eligible for the benefit now can get a free ration. All the people whose names are present in the ration card will have to get e-KYC done.

How to get e-KYC done?

If you have not completed the process of e-KYC till now, then you can still get it done. For that, you have to go to the shop from where government ration is distributed. After this, you have to put your thumbprint on the fingerprint machine.

The process of e-KYC has to be completed. No separate charge will be taken from you for this. KYC of all the people whose names are registered on the ration card is necessary. You have time till 30 September for the process of e-KYC.
