The government is running many beneficial and welfare schemes for the needy and poor sections. Benefits are provided to the people through these schemes. While there is a provision to provide financial benefits in many schemes, many things are also given in many schemes. For example, ration card holders are given free and cheap ration. This ration is given per person in the family, but many times the name of a family member gets removed from people's ration card. In such a situation, people start getting worried and do not understand what to do. But you don't have to do anything, instead you can get your deleted name added, the method of which you can know here. You can know about this in the next slides...

You will not be able to use ration cards as address proof
You will not be able to use a ration card to get a gas connection.

How to check whether the name has been deleted or not:-
Step 1
Due to updating the ration card list from time to time, the name gets cut off from the ration card.
In such a situation, if your name has been deleted, then to get it added, you have to go to the official website of the scheme https://nfsa.gov.in/Default.aspx.

Step 2
Then here you have to click on the option of 'Ration Card'.
After this, you have to click on the option 'Ration Card Details On State Portals'
Now select your state, district, block name, and then Panchayat.

The deleted name can be added like this:-
After this you have to select the name of your ration shop, name of the shopkeeper and then the type of your ration card.
Then a list will appear in front of you
In this you have to check your name, if your name is not there then your name cannot be in it because it has been removed from the ration card.

The deleted name can be added like this:-
First of all go to your nearest food supply department or meet your ration dealer.
Then fill the form and attach the relevant documents along with it.
After this, verification will take place and if everything is found correct, your name is added again.
