Bhadra's Shadow on Raksha Bandhan
The festival of Raksha Bandhan is celebrated on Sawan Purnima and this year the full moon date of Sawan month is on August 30, but it is being said that this year on August 30, Bhadra's shadow is on the full moon day. There is a belief in Hinduism that if there is a shadow of Bhadra on the full moon date of Shravan, then Rakhi cannot be tied till Bhadrakal. Rakhi is tied only after its completion because tying rakhi in the Bhadra period is considered inauspicious. In such a situation, this year the festival of Raksha Bandhan will be celebrated for two days on 30 and 31 August.
