How to do aarti
Aarti refers to a small flame coming out of a wick or camphor, which is placed on a plate as a lamp. It is rotated in a clockwise circular motion in front of any deity after worship. God's aarti should first start from the feet of God. First of all, while performing the Aarti, rotate the lamp four times in a straight direction. After that perform the aarti twice near the navel of God, and after that perform the aarti of God's face seven times. The ringing of the conch and bell has special importance in Aarti. Its sound purifies the environment all around.
