What is the current situation?
Actually, at present Rs 2,000 is being given to the beneficiaries in every installment. From the first installment to the 15th installment, farmers got a benefit of Rs 2 thousand, which was sent directly to their bank accounts.
Can the installment amount increase?
These days there is a strong discussion that there may be an increase in the installment amount received under PM Kisan Yojana. It is being said that the Samman Nidhi can be increased before the Lok Sabha elections in 2024.
While till now the eligible farmers are given Rs 6,000 annually, this amount can be increased to Rs 12,000 annually. In such a situation, the installment of Rs 2 thousand can increase to Rs 4 thousand.
If media reports are to be believed, women farmers can get its benefits. At the same time, it can be announced in the budget to be presented on February 1. However, no official information regarding this has been revealed yet.
