If you want to join the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and are also eligible, then keep in mind that the age of the applicant must be 18 years or more. Also, the applicant must be a citizen of India.
These people are ineligible for the scheme:-
If we talk about people who are not eligible for the PM Awas Yojana, then the people included in it are...
Those who already have a permanent house in an urban or rural area
Those whose annual income is more than the prescribed limit
People who pay tax
Those who have a government job or a family member who has a government job
Who owns a company etc.
These people can join the scheme
If you do not have a residential unit, then you can join the scheme
If you have a BPL card
If your income is low, then also you are eligible to join the scheme.
You must know this:-
The annual income of those applying in the Economic Weaker Section (EWS) should be between 0-3 lakh rupees.
If you are applying to a Lower Income Group (LIG), then your annual income should be between 3-6 lakh rupees.
For applying in Middle Income Group 1 (MIG 1), the annual income should be 6-12 lakh rupees.
Whereas, for applying to Middle Income Group 2 (MIG 2), the annual income should be between 12-18 lakh rupees.
