Pea Shell Vegetables

Ingredients -

  • Green peas peeled 20-25
  • Medium-sized peeled potatoes 2
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Cumin 1/2 tsp
  • Chopped medium size onion 2
  • salt to taste
  • Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  • Ginger-garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • medium tomato 1
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
  • Garam masala powder 1/2 tsp
  • julienne ginger

How to make -

  • Mash the green peas and remove the thin skin from both sides and then cut them into ½ inch pieces.
  • Heat oil in a nonstick pan. Meanwhile, cut the potatoes lengthwise and keep them aside.
  • Now put cumin and onion in the pan and fry them. After this, add potatoes, salt and turmeric powder to it and mix and fry for some time.
  • Now add ginger-garlic paste and mix well. Cover and cook till the potatoes are almost cooked.
  • After this add tomatoes and cook it for 2-3 minutes. Now put the peels of green peas in it and stir. Then add coriander, red chilli and garam masala powder and mix well.
  • Cover and cook for 5 minutes and serve after adding ginger to it.

Pea Shell Sauce

Ingredients required-

  • 1 cup coriander
  • 2 cups split peas
  • salt to taste
  • 1 small onion
  • 1/2 inch ginger
  • 2-3 garlic cloves
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp chaat masala

How to make -

  • Clean and wash the peas peels thoroughly and then put them in water and boil them for 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove the peel from the water and gather all the ingredients together.
  • Now blend onion, coriander, ginger and garlic, green chillies and salt along with peas peel in a blender.
  • Finally, add lemon juice and chaat masala and serve it with food or paratha.
