First, know this
If you want to make your child travel in an Indian train, then know here that there are three ways in this. First, children up to a few years of age travel for free, second, after a certain age limit, half a ticket is charged and third, after a certain age, the child has to pay the full ticket.
Which children can travel for free?
The Indian Railways' ticket rules also have rules related to children. If your child's age is between one year to four years, then you do not have to buy a ticket for your child, that is, you do not have to make a separate reservation. In such a situation, your child can travel on the train for free.
Half tickets are charged for these children.
Just like there is a system in buses that you can buy half tickets for your children. Similarly, this facility is available on Indian trains. If your child's age is between 5 to 12 years and you do not want a separate seat for him, then you have to buy a half-train ticket for your child.
For which children are charged a full ticket?
If you want to travel by train with your child, then it becomes important for you to know that for children of what age and when tickets are charged. If your child's age is between 5 to 12 years and you want a separate seat for him, then you have to buy a full train ticket for your child.
