Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023: PM asks children to reduce screen time.
Pariksha Pe Charcha 2023: PM Narendra Modi today (January 27, 2023) participated in the discussion program on the exam with students, teachers, and parents before the board exam. At the Talkatora Stadium in the capital Delhi, the PM answered all the questions related to exam pressure, smart work, hard work, technology, gadgets, and smartphones. Along with the children, the PM also talked to the people of the country about the use of SmartPhone and Gadgets. The PM said that smartphone is a disease and that by recognizing them, we should try to stay away from them.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, 'First of all you have to decide whether you are smart or the gadget is smart. Sometimes it seems that you consider gadgets to be smarter than you are. And that's where the mistake starts. You believe - God has given you a lot of power. You're smart, the gadget can't be smarter than you. The smarter you are, the more the gadget will be used correctly. It is an instrument that brings new speed to your speed. If this continues to be our thinking then I think maybe you can get rid of the gadget.
PM Modi expressed concern over 6 hours of screen time
The PM further said, “Second – a matter of great concern for the country, someone was telling me that the average people in India spend 6 hours on screen. It is a matter of happiness for those who do this business. When there was talk time on mobile phones, on average, they used to spend 20 minutes on the screen at that time. But since the screen and the reel on it, after starting, do not come out of it.
The PM asked the children that while watching the reel, they do not come out of it. If the average screen time is 6 hours, then it is a time of great concern. In a way, gadgets make us slaves. We cannot live as its slaves. God has given us independent existence and personality, so we should be aware that I am not its slave. You must have noticed that I never had a mobile phone in my hand. Must have seen the mobile in my hand only occasionally. Why have I kept myself safe? Although I am very active, I have fixed the time for mobile use. Other than that time, I don't use my phone much.
The PM further said that I have seen that many big meetings are going on, and if there is a slight vibration, we immediately take it out and see. I think we should try not to become slaves of these gadgets. Now I should use only that which is useful for me. I will use technology, not run away from it. But I will use it as per my need.
The PM said, 'Suppose we read a good recipe for making dosa online and spent hours reading the ingredients. But this will not fill the stomach. Will have to cook and eat for us. Earlier children used to speak Pahada, but now no one speaks anything at all. We have to grow our potential, without losing our potential. It should be our endeavor to keep testing ourselves continuously.
PM Modi said that do technology fast for a few hours a day. Decide to stay away from technology, and gadgets for some time. Try a no-digital device fast one day a week. See the benefits of doing so. Everyone is sitting together at home but everyone is lost in their phones.
Describing gadgets, and mobiles as diseases, the PM said that acknowledge these diseases and make an area in a house a No Technology Zone. And sit there comfortably and talk to each other. After this, you will start enjoying life and if you enjoy then you will be able to come out of this gadget disease.
