On the other hand, those who have not linked their PAN with their Aadhaar card, will not be able to file income tax returns for 2023-24.
The Income Tax Department has given clear information about this in one of its notifications that those who have not linked their PAN with their Aadhaar card till June 30. His PAN card will become inoperative from July 1, 2023.
In such a situation, those works for which PAN card is especially needed. Those works will not be able to be done due to the deactivation of the PAN card. In such a situation, the PAN card holders will have to re-link their PAN with an Aadhaar card and activate it by paying a late fee of Rs 1,000.
On the other hand, according to the notification of the Income Tax Department, if the PAN card holder activates the PAN card again even after paying a penalty of Rs 1,000. In such a situation, even after depositing the fees, they have to wait for 30 days for the PAN card to be activated.
The PAN card will remain inactive for a period of 30 days. For this reason, taxpayers are very upset. In such a situation, people who have to file ITR this month and their PAN card is inactive. In this situation, they may face difficulties in filing ITR.
