If you are fond of watching OTT then there is no good news for you. After Netflix, now the popular OTT platform Disney Plus has announced to discontinuation of the password-sharing facility. However, the company has currently asked users in Canada not to share their passwords outside their homes. In the coming time, it can be released for other countries also.

Disney Plus on the way to Netflix
OTT content is very much liked in India also. Till now, users could avail the benefits with their friends and relatives on multiple devices by subscribing to one account. That's why many people are used to using various OTT services, but not actually paying for any of them.

But now OTT companies are trying to stop this practice. In July this year, Netflix stopped Indian users from sharing their passwords outside their homes. And now Disney also seems to be following its path.

Disney Plus closed the facility for these users
Starting November 1, users in Canada will no longer be able to share their passwords with people outside their household. The change was announced via an email sent to Disney Plus subscribers in Canada.

According to a report by The Verge, this email sent by the company reads, "We are shutting down the ability to share your account or share login credentials outside your home." Apart from this, it is also written in the company's updated help center that you will not be able to share your membership outside your home.
