According to the information received, the age of the accused is 17 years and 8 months. The police arrested the accused, but the Juvenile Board had granted bail to the accused minor. However, on Wednesday the bail of the minor accused was canceled and the Juvenile Board sent him to a juvenile home.

Pune Police says that they had sought permission from the board to try the accused as an adult, but the petition was rejected. Now the police have said that it will appeal against this in the Special Court. The police have arrested the minor's father and the court has sent him to police custody till May 24.

From June 1, 2024, the Regional Transport Office (RTO) will issue new rules for vehicles. Under these rules, RTO has also increased the amount of challan for driving. According to the new rules, if a minor i.e. any boy or girl below 18 years of age is caught driving, then a challan of up to Rs 25,000 can be imposed on the father or guardian of the minor.

Under the new driving rules of RTO, if a minor is driving, a challan of up to Rs 25,000 can be imposed on the father, but if any kind of accident occurs, the father can also be jailed for three years.
