There is a tradition of worshiping the girl on the eighth or ninth day of the nine-day goddess festival Navratri. For those who worship the Goddess or fast during Navratri, their fast is considered complete by worshiping the girl. In such a situation, Kanya Puja is performed on Ashtami or Navami Tithi, in which little girls are fed and worshiped like goddesses.

The main purpose of Kanya Puja is to offer devotion towards the Shakti form of Maa Durga and girls are considered the symbol of the goddess as they reflect the importance of purity and natural beauty. Through this puja, women's power and respect are also promoted in society.

However, due to the high demand for small girls on the day of Ashtami-Navami, girls are often not found in the locality and society for Kanya Puja. In such a situation, the question arises that how to perform Kanya Puja without a girl child. If you also want to perform Kanya Puja and there are no small girls in your neighborhood, then you can complete your fast by adopting some measures and performing Kanya Puja successfully.

Girl worship in the temple
If there are no girls in your neighborhood, then you can go to a temple or any such place where you can find children of the needy or poor. Go to such places feed the girls and perform Kanya Puja by donating Dakshina.

Children of workers
Often people invite children of their family, friends, or neighbors to Kanya Puja. However, the girl is the form of a goddess, who has nothing to do with religion, caste, or rich or poor. Do not ignore the daughter of the housemaid or cook, the children of the driver, the colony guard, or the children of the poor employees working for you. Their daughters can be worshiped as girls.

Worship of daughters-in-law
People consider small girls to be the form of goddesses and make them sit in Kanya Puja. But every woman is a symbol of a goddess. The daughter-in-law of the house, Grihalakshmi Swarupa, the mother who fills your stomach by cooking food, Annapurna Swarupa, the aunt or sister who takes care of your wishes and encourages you are in the form of Siddhidatri. In such a situation, if there is no daughter, then worship the sister, niece, wife, or mother of the house in the same way as the daughter is worshipped. After washing their feet, make them wear Chunari, and then after feeding them, touch their feet with donations and Dakshina. The one who respects the daughter-in-law, daughters, and mother of the house receives the blessings of Mother Goddess.

Keep the food
Many times, due to the high demand for girls during Ashtami Navami, girls are not available on time for Kanya Puja. In such a situation, while worshiping the girl, prepare food and offer it to Navdurga. Keep in mind that keep such things in the offering that are not perishable, like raisins, dry fruits, coconut, etc. Along with offering food, whatever donation you have pledged should also be dedicated to the idol of the Mother Goddess. Later, keep the material for offering and donation safely. Later, whenever you find a girl, you can complete your Kanya Puja by giving her offerings and donated items.
