The festival of Sharadiya Navratri is very important for the people of Hindu religion. People wait for it throughout the year. During the nine days of Navratri, people worship different forms of Maa Durga and offer her favorite bhog to please her.

It is believed that if you offer Mata Rani's favorite dish to her, then all your wishes will be fulfilled. In such a situation, today we are going to tell you about the favorite bhog of Maa Skandmata, the fifth form of Maa Durga. Offering dishes made of bananas to Maa Skandmata is considered very auspicious. In such a situation, today we will teach you to make banana kheer, so that you too can please Mata Rani.

Ingredients for making Banana Kheer

4 ripe bananas

1 liter milk

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder

10-12 cashews (finely chopped)

10-12 almonds (finely chopped)

1 teaspoon ghee

Method

To make banana kheer, first peel the bananas and cut them into small pieces. You can also mash the bananas if you want, so that the kheer gets a creamy texture. After mashing the bananas, put milk in a deep pan and heat it on medium flame.

When the milk boils, add a pinch of cardamom powder to it. After this, heat ghee in a small pan and fry cashews and almonds in it till they become light golden. Keep the dry fruits aside, they have to be used at the end.

Now add mashed bananas to the boiling milk and cook it on low flame. Keep stirring it continuously so that the bananas and milk mix well. When the bananas are well cooked, then add sugar to it and let it dissolve. Then add roasted dry fruits and cook for some more time. Turn off the gas when the kheer thickens. Now you can offer it.
