Mpox is a disease caused by the monkeypox virus. It is a viral infection that spreads by coming in contact with infected things. Although it is not a new disease, its first case was found in Denmark during 1958.

But recently this virus has taken the form of an epidemic. According to media reports, in the last few days, about 16700 cases of Mpox have been reported in Congo, and 570 deaths have been recorded. About 115 countries are affected by Mpox, including India. 30 cases were found here in March.

According to WHO's suggestion, the most important thing to avoid monkeypox is to avoid unsafe contact with animals. Avoid touching sick and dead animals without safety and eating their meat. Apart from this, it is very important to maintain distance from the infected person. Be sure to use protection while having physical relations.
