The results of the assembly elections held in four states are almost clear. Out of these, the Bharatiya Janata Party has taken a big lead in three states Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, and is also seen forming the government here. Out of these, Madhya Pradesh has been a much discussed state, where BJP is ahead with the figure of 165 out of 230 seats. If media reports are to be believed, Shivraj Singh Chauhan is going to sit on the Chief Minister's chair once again.

Many welfare schemes of the government are being considered to have contributed to the bumper victory of the BJP in Madhya Pradesh, in which the Shivraj government's Laadli Brahmin Yojana is being considered a big game changer. After all, what is this scheme that has played a major role in giving BJP a big victory in the state, let us know about it in detail.

Aim to empower women
According to the report of the website of the Women and Child Development Department of the Madhya Pradesh Government, in rural areas, the participation rate, of male participation is 57.7 percent, and only 23.3 percent of female participation in the labor force. Similarly, in urban areas, only 13.6 percent of women participated in the labor force compared to 55.9 percent of men.

It is clear from this that women's labor participation is less than men's, which also affects their economic independence. Keeping this in mind, Shivraj government had started this scheme.

Who can take advantage of it?
Women who are permanent residents of Madhya Pradesh state can apply for this scheme. Age at the time of application should not be less than 21 years and more than 60 years. Under the scheme, such women will be ineligible whose combined annual family income is more than Rs 2.5 lakh. This scheme is only for married/divorced/widow/abandoned women.

How to apply?
According to the information, the applicant can get benefits by applying through the Panchayat Centre, Lekhpal, Panchayat Secretary, Pradhan along with an Aadhar card, photo, bank account details, mobile number, original residence certificate, and birth certificate.
