When it rains, you feel like enjoying tea and pakoras with your partner or friends on the balcony. Many people cannot stop themselves from doing this even if they want to. Even if you like the combination of these two food items, it is not good for your health at all. India's famous dietician Ayushi Yadav told what can be the disadvantages of eating tea and pakoras together.
Disadvantages of eating pakoras with tea
1. High calories and fat
More oil is used to fry pakoras, due to which they contain a high quantity of calories and fat. Eating pakoras with tea regularly during the rainy season can lead to weight gain and problems like obesity can arise. Obesity can cause many serious health problems.
2. Indigestion
Pakoras contain a lot of oil, which makes them very difficult to digest. The caffeine present in tea and a large amount of oil in pakoras can cause problems like heartburn, indigestion, and acidity, especially for those who already suffer from digestive problems.
3. Lack of nutrition
Tea and pakoras are not part of a balanced diet. Mostly gram flour, potatoes, and other vegetables are used to make pakoras, but their nutritional value is reduced in the frying process. This food combination does not provide the body with essential nutrients, such as proteins, vitamins, and minerals.
4. Increase in cholesterol
Eating fried pakoras can increase the level of bad cholesterol in the body. LDL is the main cause of heart disease. Regular consumption of fried foods can deposit plaque in the arteries, which can lead to serious health problems like heart attack and stroke.
5. Increase in blood sugar level
The high quantity of sugar in tea and the excess of carbohydrates in pakoras can lead to a rapid increase in blood sugar levels. This can be especially harmful for diabetic patients. Therefore, it is better to consume both things as little as possible.
