To identify deepfake misinformation, a few days ago the Misinformation Combat Alliance (MCA) created the Deepfake Analysis Unit (DAU) for which a WhatsApp number has also been issued. Now WhatsApp has said that this WhatsApp tipline number has emerged as the most reliable tool for identifying deepfakes. Let us tell you that the WhatsApp tipline number was launched on 25 March 2024.

If you are also getting any such video or photo that you suspect may be deepfake or fake, then you can check it by sending it to this tipline number on WhatsApp. This tipline number of WhatsApp is currently supporting three languages English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
How to use this tool
First of all, save +91-9999025044 in your contact list. After this, send the message, photo, or video about which you have doubts to this number via WhatsApp. After some time you will get a report in which it will be told whether the photo or video you have sent is deepfake or fake or not.
