This festival falls in the winter season, hence sweets made from sesame have special significance in all these festivals.

Although you can easily get many sweets made from sesame seeds in the market, but many people find the sweets in the market adulterated. In such a situation, if you want, you can make sesame barfi at home and feed it to your family members. Making sesame barfi is very easy. You will not need many things to make this. If you also like to eat sesame barfi, then let us tell you the easy way to make it.

Ingredients for making sesame barfi
1 cup sesame seeds
1 cup khoya (mawa)
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp ghee
A little cardamom powder

Method
To make sesame barfi, first dry roast the sesame seeds in a pan. While roasting, keep in mind that these sesame seeds should not become too golden. After it turns slightly pink, take it out, keep it aside and let it cool.
While the sesame seeds are cooling, take khoya (mawa) in a separate pan and add sugar to it. Stir it for some time, so that the sugar gets mixed well in the mawa. After this, add dried sesame seeds in this pan.
Now add some water to the mixture and mix well. Now keep cooking the mixed mixture on medium flame, also add some ghee.
Now keep cooking it slowly until the mixture starts thickening a little. When it becomes thick, add cardamom powder to it. Lastly, apply ghee in a plate, take out the mixture and let it cool. When the barfi cools down, cut it into small pieces and serve.
