Makar Sankranti 2023: On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, along with making sesame and jaggery sweets, make Tasty and Healthy Oats Halwa in the desert. Learn its quick and easy recipe.

Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • Quaker Oats - 1/2 cup
  • Ghee - 2 tbsp
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Sugar/Jaggery - 1/4 cup
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Almonds and cashews - as desired

Method :

  • Lightly roast the oats for 4 to 5 minutes and grind them in a mixer.
  • Add two spoons of ghee to the pan and fry almonds and cashews in it. Take it out on a plate.
  • After this, add the oats powder made in this ghee and roast it.
  • Now it's time to add milk to it. After adding milk, cook the pudding while stirring it continuously, it will start getting thick.
  • After this add sugar or jaggery which you want to mix. When the thick texture comes, we will add the remaining ghee to it.
  • When the halwa starts leaving the sides of the pan, then understand that it is completely ready. Add cardamom powder and fried dry fruits on top.
  • Oats Halwa is ready to serve.
