The Delhi government has taken a big decision on Thursday. The government has approved the Mahila Samman Yojana. Under this scheme, the government will transfer an amount of one thousand rupees every month to the accounts of women in Delhi. Arvind Kejriwal has said that a proposal has been passed in the cabinet meeting regarding this. Under the Mahila Samman Yojana, all women above the age of 18 years living in Delhi will be provided financial assistance of Rs 1000 every month. However, to take advantage of this scheme, women living in Delhi will have to register. They will get the benefit of this scheme only after registration. Arvind Kejriwal has said that the registration for this scheme will start from tomorrow.

What is the eligibility of Mahila Samman Yojana?

Only those women who are official voters of Delhi can take advantage of Mahila Samman Yojana. Only those women whose annual income is Rs 2.50 lakh or less can take advantage of this scheme.

To avail of the benefits of this scheme, the minimum age limit for women has been fixed at 18 years. The maximum age limit has been fixed at 60 years. If a woman has a four-wheeler, she will not get the benefit of this scheme.

Arvind Kejriwal has also said that after the elections, his government will increase the amount of Rs 1000 given under the Mahila Samman Yojana to Rs 2100.

During this, Kejriwal also said that the Mahila Samman Yojana has been implemented. The Delhi elections are going to be announced in 10 to 15 days. Due to this, it is not possible to transfer money to the account before the elections. However, when we were making this scheme, at that time women said that inflation had increased a lot, so one thousand rupees would not work. In such a situation, the registration that will start from tomorrow will be of Rs 2100-2100. For your information, let us tell you that at the time of the budget of the Delhi government, the then Finance Minister Atishi had announced the Mahila Samman Yojana.
