You would have never seen such a huge Shivalinga before. On the day of Mahashivratri, the Shivalinga form of Bhole Baba has special significance. Because it is believed that on this day Bholenath came in the incarnation of Shivling for the first time.
Where is this Shivalinga located?
This temple located in Assam is known as Mahamrityunjaya Temple. This is the world's largest Shivalinga of such size. Its height is 126 feet. It is made of black stones. The construction work of the temple was completed in the year 2021.
This temple is located in Nagaon, Assam. It is located at a distance of about 120 km from Guwahati. A small crack had appeared in the temple in the year 2021. Actually, on 28 April 2021, a major earthquake hit Assam and the North-Eastern region. The intensity of the earthquake was measured at 6.7. However, the temple did not suffer much damage due to the earthquake.
How to reach?
This huge Shiva temple is about 12 km from Nagaon Town. Therefore one can come here by hiring a taxi from Nagaon City. Apart from this, sharing autos also run to reach the temple.

- You will get tickets in Sleeper Coach for Rs 500 to Rs 700.
- Ticket price in 3AC coaches ranges from Rs 1500 to Rs 2000.
- After reaching Rangapara, you can take a cab directly to the temple.
