Infertility is becoming a serious problem in women. In this, the ability to get pregnant is reduced or eliminated. It is believed that fertility decreases with age, but some women have this problem even at a young age. According to experts, it can also be genetic in women, while some women make such mistakes due to which fertility becomes weak. Health expert Dr Nancy Nagpal Consultant Gynecologist SalubritasMedcentre, South Ex -II is giving information about this.

Obesity

Obesity hurts women's fertility. When weight increases, the balance of estrogen and reproductive hormones gets disturbed. Due to this, the menstrual cycle gets disturbed. This causes problems related to ovulation

Smoking

Smoking not only causes damage to the lungs and heart but it also affects fertility. Smoking reduces the concentrations of estrogen and progesterone. This causes damage to the ovaries. This reduces the quality of eggs. At the same time, excessive smoking is also responsible for poor fertility.

Stress

Fertility also decreases due to excessive stress. Due to stress, there is an increased secretion of cortisol hormone in the body. This affects the menstrual cycle. Both the quality and quantity of eggs are reduced. This can make pregnancy challenging.

Bad diet

Due to a poor diet, there is a deficiency of many nutrients in the body like deficiency of magnesium, folic acid, and zinc, which affects the quality of eggs and also weakens fertility.
