Twitter recently removed free blue ticks from verified accounts. Blue ticks have been removed from the accounts of those who have not paid for the Twitter Blue plan. It also has many Indian stars. ViratKohli, Cricketer Rohit Sharma, Rahul Gandhi, Yogi Adityanath, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, and Shah Rukh Khan are also included in this list. Elon Musk had already given information about it. After April 20, the blue tick will be removed from those accounts which have not taken paid subscriptions.
Money will have to be paid for the blue tick
Twitter CEO Elon Musk took many new decisions only after buying Twitter and one of them was also related to Twitter Blue Subscription. Under Twitter Blue, users will have to pay a fixed amount every month for Blue Tick. Twitter Blue subscription facility has been launched in India some time ago. For Blue Tick on Twitter, Android users will have to pay Rs 900 per month and web version users will have to pay Rs 650.
The blue tick sign will be reinstated only after paying the prescribed fee. Currently only Union Ministers, MPs and accounts with grey ticks are verified. According to media reports, some eminent people like journalists, lawyers and people doing social service may be given additional time of a few months.
New rules for Twitter verification
New rules related to profile verification have also been set by Twitter. According to Twitter, to subscribe to Twitter Blue, the account must be active in the last 30 days and no fake news should have been issued by the account.
The verification process will be completed by mobile number for the Blue subscription, but if you have more than one account, then this rule will not be valid. If you take the annual plan of Twitter Blue subscription, then it will cost Rs 6,800.
If a person takes this plan, then by taking this annual plan, there will be a monthly saving of about Rs.333. Apart from this, let us also tell you that users with a Twitter Blue subscription will be given the edit tweet option and will be able to post on Twitter in 1000 words, while the reach of users without a Blue subscription will be limited.
Different reactions of people are also coming out on the removal of the blue tick from many prominent Twitter handles. People with blue ticks are usually viewed from a different perspective than common people. It is also believed that there is no need to doubt the authenticity of people who have blue ticks, but Twitter CEO Elon Musk has changed this thinking by issuing monthly payments for blue ticks.
