A simple eye test can determine your risk of heart disease or stroke. Retinal scan reports reveal the risk of heart disease and stroke. Researchers at the University of California, San Diego, USA, have revealed this in their current study. He said that examination of the retina reveals how poor the blood flow in the human eye is and that blood flow is a sign of the disease.

Researchers studied 13,940 patients to understand retinal eye disease. The patient's retinas were examined between July 2014 and July 2019. Heart disease was confirmed in 84 patients. Of the 84 patients, 58 had ischemic heart disease. At the same time, 26 patients had to face stroke.

Researchers say that when blood flow throughout the body is poor or insufficient, the cells in the eye's retina are also affected. Dr. Matthew Beckham, a retinal surgeon at the University of California, said the test could reduce the risk of heart disease in the future.
