Chhath Puja 2023: The Chhath festival lasts for four days. Every day has special significance in this festival. Today is the second day of Chhath Mahapuja. It is also known as Kharna. It is celebrated every year on Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha. On this day, devotees observe a waterless fast from morning till evening and break the fast by worshiping Chhathi Maiya in the evening.

It is believed that by following all the rules of Chhath Vrat, Chhathi Mata fulfills the wishes of the devotees. Lord Surya is also worshiped on this day. In this Mahapuja, Ardha is offered to both the setting and rising sun. This fast is considered complete only after offering Ardha.

It is believed that by performing proper puja on the day of Kharna, Chhathi Mata arrives in the house. Rasiya is made to offer as Prasad to the Mother Goddess. Earthen stoves and mango wood are used to make it. It is also said that on this day, along with the fasting person, other family members should also stay away from Tamasic food. There is great importance in offering Rasiya to Chhathi Mata on this day. Let us know the method of making this Prasad.

Material

2 cups rice, half cup jaggery, 2 liters milk, 1 teaspoon cardamom powder, 1 teaspoon dry fruits

Recipe

First of all, soak the rice and keep it for some time.

After this, add milk to the pan, and boil it on medium flame.

Now add rice to it, when it starts boiling, add jaggery to it.

Now add cardamom powder to it and turn off the gas.

Rasiya is ready for Prasad.
