Sometimes, while cooking vegetables in a hurry, too much oil is added. Some people do this deliberately because they think that more oil makes better gravy, but it is not so. Consuming too much oil increases the risk of serious diseases like obesity and high cholesterol. Therefore, as little oil as possible should be used in food. If there is excess oil then there are some tricks to separate it, which you should know.

Keep it in the fridge: If there is too much oil in your vegetable then keep it in the fridge for some time. The oil contains fat and fat solidifies in cold. Therefore, keeping the vegetable in the refrigerator will solidify the oil, after which you can separate it.

Ice cubes: You can also use ice cubes to remove extra oil from vegetable gravy. Put the ice pieces in the gravy for some time. This will cause the oil to stick to it and you will be able to easily remove it from the gravy.

Tissue Paper: With the help of tissue paper you can also separate oil from vegetables. Tissue paper has absorbing quality, due to which it can remove extra oil from the vegetable.

Boil the vegetable in water: If the vegetable has too much oil, you can boil it in water. This will remove some oil.

Bread: Bread can absorb oil just like a paper towel. Therefore, you can use bread to remove excess oil from the gravy. For this, you cut the bread into large pieces and put it in the gravy. After a few minutes, the bread will absorb the oil. Then, you can spoon out the bread and throw it away.

Add curd or buttermilk to the vegetable: If there is a small amount of oil in the vegetable, you can add curd or buttermilk to it. This will reduce the taste of the oil.
