Indian Post Office runs many savings schemes for the people. In which millions of people of the country invest. Kisan Vikas Patra Yojana was started in the post office in the year 1988. This scheme was initially run only for farmers. But now anyone can invest in the Kisan Vikas Patra scheme. The amount deposited by you in the Kisan Vikas Patra scheme gets doubled.

It takes 9.5 years i.e. 115 months for this. For example, suppose you have deposited Rs 10 lakh in the scheme. Then you will get Rs 20 lakh after 9.5 years i.e. 115 months. Currently, if we talk about the interest rate in this scheme, then it is 7.5%. If we talk about the tenure of the scheme, then it is 2.6 years.

What is the eligibility for the scheme

To apply in the Kisan Vikas Patra scheme, the applicant must have Indian citizenship. Any citizen of 18 years or above can apply in this scheme. On investing in the scheme in the name of people below 18 years, the guardians have to take the scheme letter in his name.

Apply in the scheme in this way

To apply in the Kisan Vikas Patra scheme, the form can be obtained from the post office. After attaching the relevant documents with it and entering all the required information, the form has to be submitted in the post office itself. After submitting the form and depositing the amount, you are given a Kisan Vikas Patra certificate.
