Tie Kalava with this method
According to the scriptures, while getting the Kalava tied, hold a coin in your hand and close your fist. After that place the other hand on the head. While tying the Kalava, Kalava should be wrapped around the wrist 3, 5, or 7 times. Then after the Kalawa is tied, the Dakshina kept in the hand should be given to the person who tied the Kalawa. According to astrology, men and unmarried girls should tie Kalava on their right hand while married women should tie it on their left hand.

Apart from what day to take off
In the Hindu religion, some days have also been fixed for taking off Kalava. According to astrology, it is considered auspicious to open the Kalwa tied in the hand only on Tuesday and Saturday. It is also told that after opening the old Kalava with your hand, another Kalava should be tied to the temple.

What to do with old art
When Kalava becomes old, it should not be thrown away or taken off, because doing so is not considered auspicious. Instead of this, keep the Kalava under a Peepal tree or float it in some flowing water.
