The festival of Kajri Teej is very important for every married woman. Women wait for this day throughout the year. On the day of Kajari Teej, women pray to Goddess Parvati and Lord Bholenath for the progress and long life of their husbands by doing Solah Shringar. Every year, according to the Hindu calendar, the Kajari Teej Vrat is observed on the Tritiya Tithi of Krishna Paksha of the month of Bhadrapada. This year the fast of Kajari Teej will be observed on 2 September 2023.
In many places, Kajari Teej is also known as Satudi Teej. On this day, many types of dishes are prepared in homes using sattu. Dishes made from Sattu are offered to God. In such a situation, today we will teach you how to make Sattu laddoos. So that you can easily make sattu laddoos at home and offer them to Mother Parvati and Lord Bholenath. It is eaten as Prasad.
Ingredients for making sattu laddoos
Sattu- 1 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup (ground)
Ghee - 1/4 cup
Chopped pistachios - 2 tbsp
Almonds- 2 tbsp
Cardamom powder - 1/2 tsp
Coconut powder - 1 tbsp
Method
First of all, heat ghee in a pan. Let the ghee heat on a low flame. Put sattu in hot ghee and fry it till it turns light brown. Keep this in mind that over-roasting the sattu can burn it, so be careful while roasting the sattu.
Now after roasting the sattu, add cardamom powder to it. After this, add chopped pistachios and almonds to it. Now add powdered sugar to it and mix well.
You can increase the quantity of sugar as per your taste. Allow the mixture to cool carefully. When it cools down, make small laddoos from this mixture.
While making laddoos, apply some ghee to your hands so that the mixture does not stick to your hands. Now make laddoos according to your own taste and offer them on Kajri Teej. Make sure to apply coconut powder while making laddoos, so that its taste increases.
