Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti

The birth anniversary of Lal Subhash Chandra Bose, who happily shed his blood to free his motherland from the chains of slavery, is celebrated every year on 23 January. Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose was born on 23 January 1897 in Cuttack city of Odisha. It was he who had formed 'Azad Hind Fauj' to give freedom to India and gave the slogan 'You give me blood, I will give you freedom'. It was only after this that Subhash Chandra was called 'Netaji'.
