You can file your return for the assessment year 2024-25 with a late fee of Rs 5 thousand by this date. This is how you can file belated ITR:-
First step
If you have not yet filed your income tax return (financial year 2023-24), then you can file it
For this, first of all you have to go to the e-filing website of Income Tax Department https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/login
Second step
After going to the website, if you are not registered, then register yourself and if you are registered then login
For this you have to fill your PAN card number in the user ID column
Then you have to choose the right ITR form according to your income
Third step
Now that you have chosen the right ITR form, then after this you have to choose for the financial year 2023-24 and assessment year 2024-25
Then you have to fill some of your information here
In this you have to enter your income, deduction i.e. how much money is deducted and All information regarding tax liability has to be given correctly
Fourth step
Then see what tax is due along with interest and penalty
After this you have to pay this tax
Now you can make payment through net banking or other online mode
After payment is done you have to submit it
After this your ITR gets filed successfully.
