Instagram has thousands of users in India and this platform allows you to better connect with your followers and share your photos and videos. Continuing this trend, Meta has announced a new feature. Let's know about it.
Last Thursday, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg introduced the Broadcast channel on Instagram along with his Meta channel. This broadcast channel is a public one-to-many messaging tool where creators can invite all of their followers and share text, video, and photo updates.
Followers can keep updated
Plus, creators can use broadcast channels to help keep their followers up to date and share behind-the-scenes moments using text, photos, videos, voice notes, and polls.
Not only this, but creators can also use voice notes to share their latest updates and behind-the-scenes moments. You can even create polls to crowdsource the reactions of followers. Explain that only creators can send messages to broadcast channels, while followers can react to content and vote on polls.
How do broadcast channels work?
As soon as a creator has access to a broadcast channel and sends the first message from their Instagram inbox, their followers will receive a notification to join the channel. One can easily search this broadcast channel and watch the content. Along with this, followers who join the channel will also get notifications on updates.
Explain that followers can leave or mute a broadcast channel at any time and can find creator information by visiting the creator's profile, tapping the bell icon, and selecting the broadcast channel. Let us know that these notifications will be received by default, but this setting can be easily changed.
As soon as the broadcast channel goes live, creators can encourage their followers to join using the 'Join Channel' sticker in Stories or by pinning the channel link to their profile.
How to join a broadcast channel
First, you can access a broadcast channel link via a creator's story sticker, a link pinned on their Instagram profile, or a notification that's sent once a creator starts a new channel.
